Brynäs (pronounced Bree-nuss) are back in the SHL for the 2024-25 season. Two years ago they suffered relegation to the second-tier of Swedish hockey for the first time in the last 60 years. They made sure they didn’t stay there for long, romping away in the regular season (topping the league by 17 points) and then making light work of the play-offs to gain promotion at the first attempt.
The team are based in Gävle (pronounced yerv-ler) and are intent on keeping away from any relegation worries this season.
